Dough: Combine butter, milk, 1 cup of flour, dry yeast, and sugar. Mix well. Cover and let yeast rise. Add another cup of flour, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of salt and knead dough. Bacon and Onions: Cut 2 lbs. of bacon into small cubes. Mince 4 to 5 large onions. Cook bacon and onion together till tender, but not completely done Roll dough out into a greased pan and fork it. Add bacon, onions, and caraway seeds (optional) to the top of dough. Add 1 or 2 beaten egg over the top and place into a 325 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. |
